Local Downlevel document print

Hmm, i have a rather strange problem with my EPSON Stylus 670 printer. I decided to ditch the clunky old parallel cable and connect it via USB instead. I did this, updated the drivers (Windows 2000 newest) but ever since doing this the printer randomly prints a "Local Downlevel Document" which has a load of garbage at the top. Seems to do this on login, and then at other random times afterwards. Have now switched back to LPT1, and the problem still occurs!

Any ideas?

Thanks v.much (in advance 🙂 !)
