not really. but they had two stacks of PS3 in the game section - about 10-12 of them.

and nobody seems to be interested - myself included.

but i did ask them if they have Wii available. nope, they said. and they don't know when
they will get some either. if they had Wii, they would've been the first impulse purchase this year...

I have to laugh at the idiots that stand in line waiting for the release of any game console. They're all fvckin losers imo.

The only game for which I would buy a PS3 would be a remake of FFVII. And, it looks like that's not happening, so I won't be buying a PS3. :)

Yup, waiting all night for a release is pretty ridiculous but I was perfectly fine waiting an hour for a wii two weeks after release. That seemed like the best weekend for buying them. Demand only increased closer to Christmas. Glad I got mine when I did.

The only reason people stood in line all night was to resell on eBay. Don't be fooled by the hype and rush of the launch day. People got beat up and shot over money, not a silly video game system.

I'd like to see some numbers on how many launch systems were resold. I'd seriously guess well over 50%. Hell, by early afternoon on launch day, there were over 35k systems on eBay alone, not counting local sales with craigslist and other outlets.

LOL, EB games had a tone of them as well with a big sign "PS3s in stock!"

They said they still haven't sold any of them and nobody wants one.

Check out ebay; they're STILL selling for more than retail!

My local Wal-Mart has had some for 2 weeks now. One of the managers was complaining the other day that they couldn't move them. I guess they got twelve at the first of the year and still have some left. I thought about getting one, but the ONLY game I liked was Resistance, and my wife said NFW I was getting one for just one game and blu-ray.

Only reason I want one is as a cheap blue-ray player, and maybe some games in the future. You still have idiots on e-bay trying to sell them at $1200 though, even though the supply now far outstrips the demand, even if the other e-bay whores hadn't returned them by now since they wouldn't sell.

I don't know what the big deal is about the Wii. I played it, and it was like the DS...it had a really cool feature (touch screen/motion sensing).

Sadly, the only really good thing about the Wii was Zelda, but I have that on gamecube. My cousin stopped playing his Wii after he beat Zelda.

It really has nothing that's very good. Then again, the PS3 has Resistance...and the rest is meh.

I can see why the $250 part sounds better than $500.

Still, I think the Wii will go the way of the DS...I stopped playing it ages ago, and I thought it was soooo cool. The only people that play it now seem to be little kids, because the games still seem lacking (at least in my opinion, I know there are great games on it). The PSP is way more expensive, but I bought one, and I play it a lot more than my DS. I don't think it's "cool" to have, I just find it more enjoyable and like the game selection more.

PS3 really only interests hardcore gamers and HD freaks right now, especially with the $500 price. The Wii is widely attractive to pretty much everyone, so it sells. Price and innovation.

Still, the PS3 has apparently sold more than the 360 did when it came out, so I wouldn't be worried. They'll sell soon.

hmm the titles for Wii don't interest me either. But the ones for PS3 are certainly pathetic.

I am waiting for the big ones that are yet to be released on the PS3 though.

My 360 blows away the PS3 in terms of good games available now.

I'll never understand why people get caught up in the hype of owning something the moment it comes out. Wait a couple months and they'll be readily available.

Paying a huge premium or waiting in lines for hours or days is for idiots. Wait a couple months until supply catches up with demand.

Being the first to own something is highly overrated.
