If using a switch, then 100Mb full duplex would be the setting. 100Mb half for a 100Mb hub. I am not sure if my NIC(i am assuming that is network card) is 100Mb capable. It is a nVidia network card that is on-board.
When I tried to do the 'auto detect', it stays on 10.0 Mbps
When I tried to force it '100 duplex', i lost the connection.
any ideas?
can it be my on-board network card?
or... maybe.. my dsl modem?
Most hubs will run at 100Mb full duplex, regardless, if auto sensing is setting it to 10Mb, there is something wrong on at least one piece of the connection.
