This system was my old system I had several years ago. I recently tried to set it up again, but ran into problems. When I tried to install windows, it would either began formatting the drive then comes to a message saying the "drive is either damaged or check settings" screen. Sometimes it would not even start formating at all. So I decided to install Windows on my other computer and reconnect it once it is finish setting up. But it would not load up windows at all, not even safe mode. I was thinking maybe there is something with the mobo, but the computer was perfectly fine sitting in its corner collecting dust until recently. So I was hoping anybody could give me some advice on this. Thanks in advance!

Firstly, I'd try using another HDD with the old comp if you have one, and after that I'd check the RAM, maybe try changing DIMM slots?
