loading a file before winME

Is there a way to load a file in the boot of winME, prior the Operation System, I tried in the autoexec.bat, but winME changes automaticaly my file and prevents my PC to load the file, I need to load a boot update of my SIS 530 video card.

What happens if you change the AUTOEXEC.BAT file attributes to R,S (Read-Only, System) so ME cannot write to it or change it?

OK, go to your WIN.INI file for WinME, and in the first section [Windows], you will see Load= and Run=. These normally have nothing. Try putting the executable file for your video card in the Run= line.

I am not familiar with SIS video cards, but find it strange that they can't do that with a one time BIOS update or provide a Windows driver update. ??
