My system specs are listed below. I'm just curious what would you guys think would be the FIRST thing I should look at in this situation:
I turn my computer on, the power comes on, then it automatically shuts off after a second or two. Now, I have a power console surge protector, so I can turn on and off what accessories I want at the time. When the computer powers off, I can't just hit the power button again. I have to turn the MASTER on my power console totally off then back on in order for it to let me have another go...otherwise, there is no power when I hit the button a second time.
Now, if I go thru this process a few times, I can get my machine to boot up and run just fine. I am wondering if it's the power supply that can cause behavior like that? It's not the hard drive, just got a new Maxtor 300 Gig....so I have to take the 160 gig off of my tag, but other than that, things are accurate for my system.
