Wow, thanks for the nutrition lesson...

Edit: I wonder how many calories a full rack of ribs has. I've eaten nearly a whole one before (my mom and dad each stole a rib).

got me curious as well... enough to look it up anyway:
it ranges from 970 grams (original) to 1220 (habanero) w/65-70grams of fat.

nothing that tastes good is healthy. and nothing that's healthy tastes good :p

The tortilla is 300 calories by itself... You can eat healthy at Chipotle, but it's not nearly as much fun :)

http://www.chipotle.com/ChipotleNutrition.pdf

I love Chipotle. I guess you have to do a little math to figure out what you're eating though. It just took me about 10 mins with a copy/paste to excel and some sums to figure out what I've been eating:

Chicken bowl with rice, black beans, double tomato salsa, guac, and lettuce. Mmm mmm good.
Total: 675 calories, 22 g fat, 3.5 g sat fat, etc..., 94% Vit A!

Not too bad considering this is a very filling entire meal. I used to get cheese but started subbing the guac (although it costs a bit more) since the guac is a much better kind of fat and I think it adds a lot more to the flavor than the cheese does. Looking at the list though makes me think I should switch to barbacoa to cut down on cholesterol.

Another good site for those who care:
http://www.fastfoodnutrition.org/
A nice database of nutritional info at most common fast food places. makes me think I should switch to barbacoa to cut down on cholesterol.

In the correct amounts, but all these far exceed those amounts.

edit:beaten

Yes, but realize that not everyone's diets are the same.

I eat easily 400g+ of carbs every day as part of a 6,000 calorie diet.

If you are near downtown L.A. you must try the carne asada fries: http://www.laweekly.com/eat+dr...aco-frying-high/17730/

"If done properly, the dish is an awesome assemblage, a totem of unspeakable desires ? a football-size construction of guacamole, gobs of melted cheese and a mound of French fries that seems to reach halfway to the ceiling, paved with double handfuls of well-charred pellets of grilled beef, crunchy and oozy and spicy and impossibly rich.

If you have ever encountered such a plate of carne asada fries, if you are an aficionado, you undoubtedly will recognize the sensations, like a rock climber facing El Capitan for the first time: fear, desire and awe, followed shortly by the sensations that usually follow the ingestion of two weeks? worth of calories in less than five minutes. Leave nachos to the amateurs ? My Taco?s plate of carne asada fries is the Mount Everest of fine gabacho cuisine."

No wonder he won a pulitzer. Regardless, the plate is as advertised. Gloriously messy and delicious.

Well, obviously your Diet is out of the norm of what most people need.

The golden rule of steak restaurants is this: Limit yourself to a 9-ouncer or smaller.

This is heresy! The heretics must be burned at the stake...steak? 9oz? pshaw

The way we humans are set up is we find flavor is in fatty, sweet, salty, and animal protein rich foods.

These type of foods have lots of calories and fat which would make them the "worst foods" according to that list. I say fuck that list because life is too short to not get the most enjoyment out of eating and living in general.

Agreed. But remember, carbs are your friend. They only make you fat if you don't burn them as energy.

As a side note, the last time I had less then a 20 oz steak was at my wedding where I had 2 12 oz filet mingons.

While technically not a repost, there was a nearly identical article awhile ago that said the same thing.

Let's break this down

The potato is cut and fried in fat
Cheese is melted on top (ie melted fat on top)
It comes with a ton of ranch (made from sour cream and mayo, ie it comes with a side of fat for dipping)

IT'S MOSTLY CHEESE AND CREAM! French fries alone start off with a ton of calories. I don't give a shit though, cheese on french fries = win

Agreed, I don't know why my country men all enjoy ranch dressing so damn much. That stuff is gross.

Then again, I hear some Europeans like to dip their fries in mayo... that's just as gross
