Livescribe options, 2011?

Searched the forums and found 2 old Livescribe threads...how's the market look in 2011/2012? Livescribe still the best or are there any decent competitors?

Any livescribe owners want to chime in? Livescribe + evernote looks very, very appealing.

Yeah im interested in the Livescribe pen too. Havent seen many alternatives, and think its still best option.

I have used one at the store and seem really good, although its feel very different because of its thickness.

I contacted Livesribe about a new version coming out, and they said they hope to launch a newer pen in early 2012 if you can wait that long. I think it will be announced at CES in January.
