wow, that's just very intriguing. I feel like I could watch them get the whole brain, just because I want to see each new little section.
Alas, I do have some stuff to do, as soon as I convince myself to get away from ATOT. :)

Why are they slicing it up? When they are cutting it, it just bunches up and doesn't seem like they'd even save it.

it looks like it's preserved in some kind of serious frozen material (with all the equipment, it doesn't appear to be water ice).
From the wording at the bottom, it seems like they are taking each slice and placing it in a sealed glass plate.
It might bunch up but appears to keep the flesh intact, which without being frozen it would probably create some issues for advanced research of the flesh.

Haven't they done this before on some death row inmate? I remember seeing something about this on TV a decade ago.

I'm pretty sure they're scanning each layer into the computer.

From what I remember years ago, what they do is they take all kinds of images of the top of the brick of ice or whatever then shave off the top by micrometers if not nanometers then take images again. This is all compiled into the computer that creates a true and realistic 3d render of the human brain.

Live feed isn't working for me. Bummer man.

The website is slow too. Just too much traffic, and the mirror site doesn't have the stream.

nvm. it's up.

It's kinda fucked up his condition caused by surgery. Hey, I can fix your epilepsy, but you're not gonna remember shit for the rest of life!
