Live Value oem to the audigy gamer.. worth it?

Yes, I had a Live Value! and upgraded to a Audigy Platinum when I built a new PC and I do notice a difference but not much. It all depends on how picky you are. If you want TOP OF THE LINE go with Audigy but if you want don't really care about sound, stick with the Live Value! and buy a better Video Card.

I`ve both ( SB Live in my old PC,Audigy in my new one) & I can tell the difference,so for me it was worth it,however it all depends on many factors like quality of your speakers & how good your hearing is,one person might say "not much difference" while another would say the opposite.

It`s real important you hear the sound card yourself since nobody here can answer that question for you,if you do a lot of gaming then it`s probably worth it being it has lower CPU usage and sound quality in games is better, but this is my opinion so I can`t answer for you 😉.

this really depends on what your speakers you have.
IMO there is a difference but suggest you go for an OEM audigy to make the upgrade as cheap as possible!

whatever you do...don't get the audigy gamer. just get the OEM version. it's the EXACT same card but the gamer version comes with some old lame games. get the OEM and save. last i checked it was only $60 something at NewEgg.

One difference between OEM and Retail is that the Retail version has "gold" connectors.
