How hard would it be to have GPS trackers on UPS, Fedex, USPS trucks so that we can find out how long it will really take for them to deliver our packages?
but seriously what's worse is the fact that USPS doesn't have live tracking yet... it may be delivery confirmation still, but i remember 10 years ago when UPS already had its tracking system down. it's still the same today, but usps hasn't moved an inch forward.
A few years ago the company I worked for secretly installed gps devices in the contractor reps trucks. Let me just say that a whole lot of them were fired after they were tracked for a week.
I'm pretty sure that fedex/ups could track their trucks in this manner depending on the device that they use to scan the packages.
Many newer trucking companies use GPS tracking to ensure their drivers are on schedule.
Look for the little white globes on top of their cabs.
That's a good idea about tracking your package.
Maybe you could order a GPS tracker along with your other items and put in the Special Instructions, to turn it on before packaging.
