Oooh, Simpsons... I've been wondering if this game is going to suck. I hope it doesn't.

Nice, can't wait to try out the Conan demo. I'm guessing everyone will compare this one to God of War, hopefully it will be able to atleast stand in the shadow of GoW :).

I think the conan game is gonna be horrible. It was supposed to be released in 08 but it got forced out early.

Yep, Bladestorm and Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal (fun to play with a kid if you have one) came out last week.

Oh okay, I remembered seeing it on IGN but I didn't remember the date :). Bladestorm doesn't look too bad if you like the Dynasty Warriors games as it seems to add some more tactic into it. I can tell ya though, if you want a bit more of a challenge out of one of the warriors games, try Samurai Warriors for the PSP. It's mostly turn-based and some wrong moves can f' ya up.

Oh yeah, Thrillville and The Bee Movie demos also came out last week.

I just didn't get into the Thrillville demo...this despite loving the Rollercoaster Tycoon games.

hmm i just played the conan demo and it was actually pretty fun. I wouldn't buy it for full price but i'd rent it or buy it when it gets to 30 bucks maybe, depending on how long it is.

Have you played God of War, and if so, how does it compare? As blurred said, it seems like that's what it will get compared to (as it looks pretty similar), but if it's a good rip then I'm all for it...! :D

Conan doesn't seem so bad. The 360 needs a good hackn'slash game and I guess this should do if I can find it at a budget price. Graphics and sounds are fine though I'm not crazy about Conan's voice.

Simpsons is ok I guess. It does look excellent but its such a small taste. I wish they would give you at least a small piece of a big level instead of just a boss fight.

Looney Toons is AWFUL on all levels. wow..what a total stinker. I remember back in the SNES/Genesis days there were a few halfway decent Warner Bros toon based games (and some wonderful Disney stuff) but this is one to avoid. I wish some of these devs can make a great Looney Tones game that fits the characters perfectly instead of giving these guys kung fun moves and awful platforming segments.

Not sure what to say about that Bee Movie demo. Its not really much of a game in all honesty. Reminds me of the old Dragon's Lair games where you just move in a specific direction and follow on screen cues. Looks fine though. I hope there is more to it.

I am disappointed with the Simpsons game - I find the controls annoying and it just doesn't seem fun to me. The Conan game is surprisingly fun, albeit really simple and goofy.

Ah, that sucks. :( I guess I can keep my fingers crossed that the Wii version will have decent controls.

Both demos are surprisingly not good. I was hoping for good things about both of them but was very disappointed.

Conan would be good if the control scheme wasn't so poor. In a hack-n-slash (at least for me), you expect to be able to adjust the camera, not stuck in a platformer-esque auto-camera style. Also, why the hell is roll a completely separate joystick? Roll should be Block + left stick (in direction you want). The damn guys that block 24/7 are very annoying... I find a good barrel gets rid of them . Also, one thing I found to be kind of weird... I was using some sword and Conan's starting sword... I picked up another sword and now I had no way to go back to Conan's starting sword. I checked the control page and saw nothing about throwing away a weapon.

Finally played the Simpsons demo tonight, and it looked better than I thought it would, but the camera is freaking crazy and drove me nuts. If they could tighten up the camera, and lock the damn free look stick until I let it go, it'd be alright (if I'm trying to keep a constant look to my right while running straight, if I don't move the stick from where I have it for 3 seconds, it swings back around to default, which highly sucks...you can't look at anything without constantly moving the camera so it won't default).

You throw a sword with the right trigger. I didn't like using two swords. The attacks felt too weak. My favorite weapon was the giant scimitar that you grab off the first "mini-boss". That sword is a beast.

My biggest complaint was the camera angle as well. You really need to be able to do a free look. Major oversight on the devs part.

But aside from that, this game is very fun. I'm sure it will get very repetive quick, but at least there are virtually an endless number of ways to kill people so you can keep it fresh that way going for experience or finishing move proficiencies.

It will definitely be in my rental queue.
