This actually looks like the best new Arcade game for the year to this point. Technically, it is pretty impressive as well if what the developer claims about 85:1 compression that reduced the size from 2GB to 147MB is true. Looks like a cross between Kirby, Katamari, and any other partner platformer like Ratchet & Clank or Banjo-Kazooie. It showed really well at PAX '08.

Bah, nothing good this week. I played The Maw demo but I found it boring and much too easy. Maw is a really cute character though.
 
Played the Maw demo, it was interesting. A little short IMO, but I get the general idea. Could be a fun game, maybe I'll pick it up at some point. They did spend a lot of time on the visuals, everything looks very polished for an XBLA game.
 
Quick update: I did buy The Maw and beat it last night. There's a pretty cool premium theme for those who beat it. 🙂
