I like how you get a piece of the suit at a time. I like ramping up to be a bad ass.

Man, there is a ton of grenade upgrades. I must be up to 40 grenades and maybe use 2 between safe rooms.

Man this game is addicting. I tell myself I'll stop at the next save point but end up playing until I go through two or three more.

Bought it last night, it's pretty fun so far, I only played about 30 minutes though. The aiming can be a bit weird though.

As for Trials HD, it's fun, but it makes me think really really angry thoughts at the later levels. The people that designed some of the hard and all the extreme levels are serious fucked in the head. They are brutally difficult. There are a lot of levels on extreme I can't even figure out how to finish period, forget about ever getting a silver. Gold on extreme I can't even fathom. No fouls? Please. I got close on one hard level to getting a gold but fell right before I cross the finishline. My controller about paid with its life for that one.

I love the game so far. I missed one of the damn grenade upgrades when I flipped the switch to start the water level rising. Guess I'll get it on the second playthrough.

I was only going to "try it out" last night, but i ended up playing for over 2 hours.

I did the same thing. Is there no way to get back there?

you can go back. Once you get the scuba gear which isn't too far past where you are.

Well, just ordered another 1600 MS points card from Amazon.com for $17.54. My 10% ECA discount works for points cards but not the digital download codes ironically enough, not to mention the physical product is $19.49 as opposed to $19.99 for the digital download.

Decided to get this based off reviews, I already have Turtles and MvC2, so basically I buy Trials HD (was on the fence with this one) and I get Splosion Man free once they refund my 800 points.

On a completely unrelated note, I just got Castle Crashers recently too. Money well spent.

I got the scuba gear but I just never went back, maybe I should do that before I get too far away

Had a chance to play for a couple of hours last night after just giving it a quick peek the night before. This game rocks!! The aiming is still a little weird, but it's just a damn fun game. I'm paranoid about missing crap though so I'm making sure to cover every square inch and noting where things are I can't get yet so I can come back.

I finished off Shadow Complex and will go back to try and get 100% of the items. Outside of some wacky aiming the game is really solid. The story though is barely there and the game kinda ends abruptly ..at least I didn't expect it to end at that time. Depending on how many items you find you'll feel pretty badass by the end.

My precious, it calls to me. It says "Play me, find some more missiles or a foam pack. Come play with me"

Damn you Shadow Complex!

Very cool demo. The feel of the game reminds of my Flashback, if anybody remember that classic.

Argh.

One of the FEW... FEW games I wish I had a 360 for. Hhrpmhh.
(I get most 360 games on the PC).

So no PS3 release since it's Microsoft, but... when they hell is the PC release? I need this!
Feeling bummed and let down, as Battlefield 1943 for PC, just got delayed into 2010 (WTH? is this the cool thing to do right now? next thing will be GT5 delayed into 2011, to be more hip), and all my buddies - who have a mix of PS3 and 360 - are waiting for the PC release too, so getting it on the PS3 will be a waste of money.
So, only answer is obviously get this on PC. I want it right meow.

Off topic a bit... but you can have a 360 dirt cheap if you're willing to get your hands dirty. Many people are selling RROD 360s on ebay for anywhere between $50 and $100. Get a repair kit and fix it yourself (hint: it's easy to do), and you got yourself a working 360 for around $100. Not bad, I think.

I just beat Shadow Complex. Kinda disappointed though with how it ended. I really wanted to go for 100% item completion, but I was pretty much forced to go in that final battle. I won't spoil it for you, but the final battle was pretty easy, you'll see what I mean.

Great game, but all of the boss battles left something to be desired. I pretty much just spammed rockets and/or grenades at every boss and won pretty easily. Mind you, this was on normal difficulty, I have no idea what hardcore or insane is like.

If you're patient often you can find arcade models new from Dell for ~$160 with a coupon. Picked mine up that way along with a 20GB hard drive that I upgraded to a 120GB Western Digital. Overall $220 got me everything I needed!

beat it at 100% items and 100% map today. Just started an Insane campaign, much more fun with golden guns.

Does anyone know if it's possible to double-dip the Amazon MP3 downloads and the MS Points? Someone in this CAG thread had this idea also, but the wording at the official site "To qualify for your gift, you must purchase all five (5) games from Xbox LIVE Arcade using your Xbox LIVE account" seems to preclude that. I wasn't able to find any official clarification on whether redeeming a code = purchase.

I'm not sure what you're planning on doing, but to get the 800 MS Points, you have to buy all 5 games with your Xbox Live account through the Xbox Live Arcade store; web or console. If you purchase Shadow Complex from Amazon.com, it doesn't count. However, you do get the $5 for MP3 downloads at Amazon.com.

If you're interested in all 5 games, buy them through Microsoft and you'll get enough points for another game...or part of one :)

EDIT: You could buy Shoadow Complex from Microsoft and Amazon and then give away or sell the code that you get from Amazon. Is that what you're trying to do? Get credit for the Summer of Arcade as well as the $5 of MP3 downloads?

Yes, that's what I meant by "double-dip". I don't really want either TMNT or MvC2, but at $5 each (after stacking the bonuses, which probably won't work), I was considering it.

Finished it again today. I went through it on Insane and it wasn't bad at all; still got 100% items and 100% map. Just make sure you have unlocked the golden guns during your first play through. Also, make sure to get all the health and armor packs ASAP as you get hit for mad damage on Insane. 2nd time through took me 7 hours and 59 minutes. I started it at level 20 and finished Insane while level 41. I'm hoping one more playthrough on Insane should get me to 50.

As an aside, you get easy xp when you melee. I've gotten the xp multiplier to 7 or 8 just running across the surface punching bad guys.

I finished it my second time as well. I would've had 100% the first time, but I screwed myself as I progressed to far and I was at 92%. My third go around is on insane. Had a little difficulty, I've been playing with the gold inertial gun, but it's not too bad. You definitely have to plan your entrances though on insane. I can't run and gun like I did on normal.

After I level to 50, I'll go for the 13% run, then the 4% insurgent run. :)
