Live Action Robotech!!!

Robotech? You mean "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross"!!

Robotech is a story adapted with edited content and revised dialogue from the animation of three different mecha anime series: The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada.

They will possibly update it to present time settings like they did with the Transformer movie.
But they better keep the original mecha's shape and form.

Yes people know its was editted, dubbed in the US.

it'll likely start and should start with SDF macross. I never liked southern cross. Moseapda was so-so.

But yeah they better not make any changes. I always thought robotech would've been the first to come out in live action. Seemed so much easier to incorporate into live action, advance military fighter jets isn't too far fetched.

hoepfully its only 1 or so away. better yet make it 2009. the first space/robotech war started in 2009.

You do know those jets turned into robots, right?

Yes I know. But highly advance military fighters aren't exactly far fetched as with Transformers. Huge Alien robots who are able to transforming into small objects.
with macross/robotech. the government kept everything underwraps. People just thought the fighters were just that, new advancements in military technology. the zentradi were nothing more than an advance race of giant aliens.

I'm just saying that if you looked at both cartoons, macross/robotech's setup isn't too out there as Transformers.

I don't really understand why you would make a fighter that transforms into a robot, when you could spend probably 1/1000th the money on a separate jet and robot. If you were really feeling practical, you wouldn't make a mech, you'd make a tank, since tracks and wheels make a lot more sense than legs.

If he does it like the first Spider-Man movie, it could be good. If he does it like the third Spider-Man movie,

Maguire can do more than act like a socially awkward nerd turned emo. If he ends up as Rick Hunter, I imagine he'll be OK.

Dude, it's a movie. Enjoy the suspension of reality for just that long....

I remember reading that whole series of books back in the late 80's. In fact, I still have nearly all of the books, I think.

What next? Are they going to do Star Blazers, too?
