or should it be cutely awesome?

LittleBig Contra is a NeoGAF collaborative project aimed at delivering the definitive Contra experience to LittleBigPlanet. Our goal was to recreate each of the 8 stages of Contra from the NES using the tools available to us in the LittleBigPlanet level editor.

There are 8 stages in total and 7 authors on the LBC team:

Stage 1: Jungle: PSN - Leonidas2123
Stage 2: Base 1: PSN - SaitoHalifax
Stage 3: Waterfall: PSN - RyanardoDavinci
Stage 4: Base 2: PSN - SaitoHalifax
Stage 5: Snowfield: PSN - NinjaMicWZ
Stage 6: Energy Zone: PSN - El_Beefo
Stage 7: Hangar: PSN - Jaeyden
Stage 8: Alien's Lair: PSN - gevurah22

wow that is actually very awesome. it's funny though cause you can tell how floaty the controls in LBP are from that video.

sadly, since the creators of LBP can take down content at will, i will be surprised if that one stays up there very long due to it being too similar to contra.

EDIT: Disclaimer: I was watching the video, so I had no idea purbeast had already posted. I disavow any similarities between my post and his first sentence. 😛

Media Molecule has already played through all the levels, and they really enjoyed it.

Looks like another case of "Wow, that's cool but is it really fun to play?" to me.

Not knocking the creators because it really takes a lot of time and patience to do this stuff but I couldn't see myself wanting to actually play this for more than 2 minutes. I wonder if Sony will be deleting the levels though.

I'm curious, do you play FPS on 360 or PC w/ friends? If you do, why? All the games are the same w/ different skin and weapons. Why do you keep buying and playing them? I really don't see the draw of the genre.

I play all kinds of games, including FPS. I'm only speaking for myself here obviously but none of the levels I've seen hand-crafted for LBP make me want to run out and buy the game. Like I said I'm not knocking the time and dedication it takes to make these "levels" but it looks boring to me personally. I do, however, like seeing what people can do with the game (LBP) nevertheless. Nothing wrong with that is there?

level 1 was great.

level 2 i couldnt figure out what to do. didnt try the rest yet. but they did an awesome job.
