I'm a fan of Adamn Sandler, but I'm also the first to admit he's not a good actor. Watch the movie if you like that sort of regurgitated comedy.

I thought it was his worst movie and I like Adam Sandler movies. It had its moments, but overall it sucked. Only watch it if you have nothing to do.
 
this is like the WORST movie he ever made - it's so bad my local blockbuster was selling it for $5.99 stocked!
 
Worst movie he ever made..

Funniest parts was the outtakes on the dvd.

In one scene the dog goes out to consult his contacts(He goes and tags a female dog). In the outtakes the female dog keeps trying to hump the male dog
 
This movie is not supposed to be an epic of Star Wars quality with a deeply moving storyline, etc.

It's got a basic plot, some cool special effects and it makes you laugh your @ss off for two hours. What more do you want out of an Adam Sandler flick? I actually own this movie. I watch in now and again and still laugh. It has a lot of sight gags and if you actually pay attention and WATCH the movie you'll see something new every time. It's hilarious!!

Well written. It's not quite up to the level of Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey or Bettlejuice but still one of the best silly comedies about the afterlife. Good dumb fun, and my second-favorite Sandler movie after Happy Gilmore.

Like Bill & Ted it's played totally straight, the humor is a natural part of the plot setup not just tacked on jokes like in the Scary Movie films.
 
It had its momments... I liked it.. don't expect anything of substance.
