Been doing a little research and wanted to build my own system. Not sure if I got all the parts correct, been about 4-5 years since I built my last system, and I haven't kept up with new tech. Could someone tell me if this would work or not or have any suggestions on what I should buy instead?

dvd+-rw
199.00

ATX Case 350PSU - Mid Tower
59.99

Gigabyte GA-8KNXP Intel 875p 800/533/400 FSB
208.00

Intel p4/2.4GHz 512k socket 478 Hyper Threading Tech 800 MHz FSB
174.

PC3700 DDR 512MB
94.00

Already have 2 40gig HD and an 128meg ATI 9200.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

don't be an ass..............

And to radiocore yeah it will work. I take it you have another dvd-rom or cd-rom right so you can burn on the fly..............

Depending on when you bought your HD's maybe nice new WD 80gb JB version would be good:D

System looks good to me minus the graphics card and HD unless they were purchased recently.

What part of his post makes him an ass. I was going to suggest the same thing. You've only proven that you are an ass by posting that. What good are multiple forums if they are not utilized?!?!

I don't think he really meant anything by that... he was mearly (sp?) stating that if he was to post the question in GH, then he would probably get more responses considering that is where most of the topics like his are.

Thanks for the info guys, didn't mean to start up anything ;)

Just wanted to make sure that the parts would all work together.

Didn't want to be ordering it and find out later that they don't fit together. And I'll remember to use the correct catergory next time. =)
