I just recently received an ENLIGHT 7237 case with an ECS K7VTA3. The case comes with an Enlight 300 w PS. I am having trouble getting the thing to run at all. I have the ATX connector plugged in and the corresponding panel connectors are in as well. However, with the ENLIGHT case did not come with a user manual describing the connectors (i.e. positive and negative sides) Should I use the PANEL1 or the LPANEL1? (the manual says that the LPANEL1 is designed specially for OEM customers, which comply with OEM specifications).
When I have tried to start this thing up here's what happens. It begins to start, the fan gets going, but then it dies; however, the mainboard has a red LCD light that indicates that there is power to the board and also the green Power LCD light is on as well. So basically the computer starts up but quits within about 3 secs of starting up, but the MOB supposedly still has power. Am I not connecting the PANEL1 connectors correctly? Any help with this would be much appreciated....

First, make sure that the front panel connection things have the text facing toward the board and the back of the case. As to the panel1 or lpanel1, I don't know which to use, since my mobo only has one set of front panel connectors.

Hey Matt, er, BigDogChief,

Glad you found this board. Hope someone here can help you out. I've been trying to remember anything else since we talked on the phone, and I'll let you know if I remember anything.

Hey Dan,
Well I'm stuck. I really think now it maybe the power supply. When it starts up, it makes a real bad high pitched whine, fan starts to turn, then nothing. All I am left with is a red light on the MOB, and a green light for the Power switch. Can't do anything else.... I just don't want to ship back the whole case, just because I got a bum PS. Newegg makes you pay for the return, and that can get expensive overseas. I don't know what to do. Just keeping tweaking it...maybe it'll work....

Hey, What's up with you already having 11 posts?? I've been reading this forum for over a year, and you passed me up in the first first hours...

Sorry to hear that you've had no luck so far. I'm not sure what kind of power supply/case your old machine has, but maybe you could try plugging your new MB into the old power supply? Just to see if that's the issue...

Well Dan, the old power supply is only 110 watts. (The CPU is only a AMD-K6 400MHZ). Don't think that would do it. Also....(Here is a post that I put on another group)

I have flipped the Power Switch Connector around. On the ECS K7VTA3 they have the Panel Connector, but also have a LPANEL Connector (For OEM use). The thing is that for the Power Led Connector you have to connect it to the LPANEL, but for the rest (Power Switch, Reset Switch, HDD LED) they all can be connected to either the LPANEL1 or to the main Panel Connector....It's quite frustrating....

Anybody any suggestions?

Ok, all I had hooked up was the PS, the power switch feeder, and the RAM; turned it on, and it started to go, but then stopped (like it has been doing). I tried to power switch button, and it tried to turn on (finally got the power switch hook up right) it started up, and shut right back down with that terrible whining sound...I'm going to go buy a new power supply if I can find one here in England...if not I'll have to order a new one from NewEgg.....
