For all of you cat owners out there, you can get this box over at PetCo.COM for $162.58 (including tax) shipped!

It is on sale at PetCo for $179.99, apply 20% (up to $30 off) purchase coupon, add tax (CA) and shipping and it comes out to be $162.58
In other words:

$179.99 - 20%
= $143.99 + $10.80 (CA tax) + $7.79 shipping
= $162.58 shipped.

Remeber this isn't just the Mega Advanced, or the Advanced, this is the Mega Advanced Delux. Not sure what the exact differences are, but normally the Mega Advanced Delux costs more (arround $199 before tax), the next runner up the Mega Adavanced is selling at PetSmart for $159. I believe the Delux comes with more features (quieter motor, deeper litter trays, removable rake..... I am not too familiar with them so feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

If you are looking for the coupon, go to Google and search for "PetCo online coupons" and you will find a few sites with them listed. Anyhow
good luck!

<< this thing is best thing since sliced bread, i love my catbox >>

LOL

Well, this is the king of all geekdeals, a high tech litterbox. Can you overclock it? Imagine the look on your cat's face when it completes a cycle in 7.5ns.

Not a cat lover, but it is a cool device.

For me to spend $162.58, it would have make the doodie into little litter covered smurf looking dudes so you can put them out near the sidewalk with a little sign that says "Free Lawn Decorations" to get people to haul it off for you. Nice find tho. 🙂

I bought one of these last year, they suck. If your cat's poop is anything but nice and solid it will get into the grooves of the scooper and into other places in the box. The constant whir of the motor will wake you up if it's near your bed (mine was in the other room and it still woke me up.) If your cat takes an extra hefty dump or takes a dump off center the fork will keep retrying to scoop it all up, keeping you up all night.

Low tech is best for poop, imho- or teach your cat to use the toilet instead

Flatbroke, that's like the SNL parody ad "litter critters" =) It was hilarious.

When your hear a scratch here comes a batch- it's time for litter critters!

LOL! Cats,--- don't get me started. I laughed my a$$ off looking at the book "101 things to do with a dead cat". No joke, it's a real book. Flat cats aren't just for leveling your uneven table legs anymore!

iwearnosox, sorry to hear about your tale of woe, but it did make me laugh. Returning a $200 "pretend you don't have a biological weapon producing cat", litter box, Saleswomen: What seems to be the problem? Customer: Well, my cat will only eat the expensive canned cat food, but it comes out of the cat too runny to make a nice patty, so the stirring fork gets dirty. Saleswomen: Well sounds like you have a defective cat, not a defective litter box. Customer: and another thing the "squat here" sign is too small and besides, my cat can't read yet, so sometimes she lets fly a little too much to the side and the patty maker can't get it all, and so it keeps trying all night, that keeps me up and man my electric bill is getting to be WAY too high... Saleswoman: again, sir, I think you will have to return you cat, not the litter box, we have tested it with one of OUR cats and everything goes SMOOTH.... OK, NEXT IN LINE. Ok, so I'm sick, sick, sick, btw, do you um... still have your cat?

My cat waits around for it to kick off and then tries to kill the scooper. But, other than that, it has been great. I modified it to use a big hefty garbage bag instead of one of those little dinky trays. I put it in the basement and now I only have to empty it like once every three months. Because the cover closes, it doesn't smell any worse than a day-old cat box, and in the basement, no one but the cat can smell it...
