Take a Literature class assigned to the Womens Studies department in your University. Oh what fun that will be.

Especially if your Prof is a lesbian.

I was one of two dudes in that class and our class got into some very interesting conversations as most everything we read was overtly sexual.

Taking Puritan Lit from a flaming gay professor was one of the most awkward/awesome classes I had in university.

My literature class in college was mostly about historical references. Our professor was a history nut, so class was actually sort of interesting.

The Lit classes I took were worse than having a root canal without anesthetic.

IMHO a good author can make a point plainly. If it's necessary to decode the content to see what the author "really" meant, then it's no more than the non-picture equivalent of "Where's Waldo."

Want me to understand what you are trying to say? Say it in plain English so I can understand it. If you camouflage it to the point where a reader can't grasp it without intense study, to me that's a lack of writing skill.
