Eventually 12x and 16x DVD burners that include dual layer burning will be on the market but none are currently available for sell in the US market.

Update: The LG GSA-4120B 12x/8x DVD±R/RW, "2.4x Dual Layer", 5x RAM Drive now selling in the US.
