each time I try to burn a CD, Nero gives me the following errors:

SCSI/IDE Command Aborted

Invalid Write State

Could not perform End track

I've tried burning as low as 4x speed, but no luck. Tried burning using Win XP's CD-R folder, still no luck...

Im using an Abit NF7-S, XP2100+,Crucial 1024MB ddr333, CDR on Primary Secondary.

Rollback your IDE drivers (you're probably using the SW IDE drivers now, right?) and try it again...it'll work as long as your not using the SW IDE drivers.

hey !! tried revertin to MS IDE drivers, guess those 2.03 ver Nvidia IDE drivers arent perfected as yet.. IT WORKS NOW !!! 🙂 thank ya'll, appreciate it.
i looked up the abit forums, lotsa ppl are havin problem such as this wen usin the nvidia ide sw drivers... weird.. it recognises all my drivers as SCSI !!

Yep, lots of people having trouble with nero and those Nforce SW drivers.
I didnt when I had them installed, but I rolled them back to the native XP ones just in case.
 
Good to hear - don't run any drive benchmarks comparing the two...CPU utilization is around 40-50% without the SW IDE drivers with my WD 120 GB.
