Liteon 12X10X32 CDRW a Plextor?

Just bought a Liteon 12x10x32 cdrw for $154.00, it has "BurnProof" feature.
Hoping it's the Plextor drive, and that a firmware hack can be done.
(hex scares me)
Anyone have information?
Thanks

I thought i read in another thread that Liteon manufactures their own drive ....

while i am not sure ... i do believe i am correct here ....

Plextor isn't the only drive with BurnProof. I think someone posted recently that LiteOn had trouble getting the BurnProof certification for their drive.

Lite-On makes their own drives and licenses the Burn-Proof technology from Sanyo just like Plextor does.
