Lite-On DVD-ROM bootable???

by friend did some stupid stuff and he wants to install XP, i have heard that you have to make boot disks if you install it from DOS. this sort of thing is probably above my friend's abilities. he has a lite-on 16x dvd-rom. so the question is.. Is this drive bootable?

(note: i have checked lite-on's website but have found no data on which drives are bootable)

the drive is bootable & so is the XP cd! 🙂
no need for boot disks!

Yep, it's bootable

just make sure you enable it to boot from that drive in the bios before it looks for the hard drive
