Not all Cendyne's are Lite-On. I have three, one is Verbartim, the other is Acer (now BenQ), then Lite-On. Verbatim is always good, BenQ certainly improves A LOT -- I don't really see anyone has to get Lite-On. By the way, all of mine can read the infamous proteceted music CD, go figure.

Does anyone know if any NYC Office Max has them. I went to the one in Westbury and Hempstead, both only have the 48125W Also, doesnt the 48246S coding mean that it's 24X rewrite? Therefore being different than the one in the ad.Originally posted by: gogovs I living in chicago and some stores has 48246S and some has 48125W
Looks like I need to head south. I just hit the stores in Gurnee, Vernon Hills and Deerfield and none of them have the 48246S. I did see a strange drive though in several stores. Under the drive number it said 48x12x50. What drive is that?I bought this drive in Harwood Heights, IL (48246S)
Joking about what?You're joking, right?
