anyone know what the difference is in the model number for the 16x48 drive?

LTD-163 and LTD-163D

what does that "D" stand for? mine is the latter from the dell deal...TIA
 
Check Lite-On's site for firmware upgrades....that may give you some info on the differences, if any of note.

checked their firmware page...they have both listed separately but no description...they have no email to ask either...

someone asked this on their little forums but there was no reply and most threads had either 1 reply or none...😛

oh well...as long as it works...

don't quote me but I think the D is for the drives destined for dell!
