I rinse and gargle with Scope then I brush my teeth for 5-10 minutes and then rinse and gargle with Scope again.

I always wondered about that. Is it good to do the mouthwash last? Cuz then it just sits on your teeth overnight... I always ended up rinsing, brushing and that's it. Well.. if you want to talk about flossing I went all out and rinsed, brushed, flossed, rinsed again, and a little brushing to get rid of the mouthwash. I hate dentists which is why I try to keep my time with them as small as possible.

% of alcohol in listerine is by far the highest. it burns for a reason.

Use a tongue scraper for better mouth hygene. The problem isn't the bacteria itself, in fact the bacteria grows right back there minutes after you use the mouthwash. It's the waste that the bacteria leaves on your mouth, mostly on the tongue, that creates bad breath. Also, any food trapped in your teeth does the same thing so floss daily.

I've used both.. though I do not use any of that stuff anymore.. I doubt my teeth will fall out because I do not use them.

don't use listerine. all it is is 100 different types of alchohol that do nothing more than dry your mouth out and make your breath worse. btw, the numbness is actually "doing something" that sensation is caused by a chemical that's put in there for the sole purpose of making you think it's "doing something"

After my last visit to the dentist I've started using ACT flouride rinse. It's alcohol free so it doesn't irritate your gums like Listerine/Scope/etc. It was recommended that if you don't want or need ACT for it's flouride then you should use just regular water with a teaspoon of salt in it instead of those alcohol based mouthwashes.

H2O2. But when you wake up in the morning, your mouth tastes a little acidic. I also dip my floss in H2O2, so it would kill those germs hiding in between teeth.
