List some of your cool toys/gadgets/electronics!

Portable DVD-player is the one I'm happiest about even though I almost never use it. It's still very cool to know I have 🙂

(In fact, I'm thinking of selling it to pay for my car 🙁)

How long does the battery last on those things?

wireless network in my house, PDA, Cordless telephone, 1800 watt microwave oven, digital alarm clock, dvd player, 3 prong wall outlet, thumbtacks, and a stain on my coffee table from where i set down a cup and it left a water mark (does anybody know how to remove this?)

Unfortunately, all my toys and gadgets are connected to my computer. I think I'm computer poor.

If you have computer stuff it has to be outof the ordinary, ie: 24 inch sony monitor or a 21 inch SGI LCD flat panel, external SCSI/IDE RAID tower etc....things of that sort.

My car is absolutely loaded with gadgets. For example.

1. Digital compass in inside rear-view window.
2. Automatic fading of inside rear-view mirror when some jackass drives behind me with high beams on.

Being 16 years old and from a wealthy family (wealthy enough that my parents wont let me work, but not wealthy enough for me to go out buying whatever I want) I can't brag about having 500$ electronic toys or anything really cool like that. I have compiled a nice list of toys that in my area, barely anyone has. People in my area tend to just buy whatever's at best buy or compusa and is most expensive, regardless of performance or anything. The things i'm most proud of are...

1. My Sharp MD-831 player (minidisk player)
2. My RioVolt SP100 MP3/CD player w/car kit
3. My self-built computer (never crashed in the 10 months or so that i've had it 🙂)
4. My shoe collection (many, many pairs of Jordan's, Adidas, and other various Nike Reebok/Iverson shoes)

It's not much but to me it's all the world 🙂

I like my Sony camcorder, PCs and other gizmos, but I still love this home & garden purchase a LOT after several years of use:

Stihl - BG75 Handheld Gas Blower
  • Top-rated by a leading consumer magazine, the BG75 is lightweight, yet powerful enough to make quick work of dry leaves, grass clippings and other yard debris. 25.4 cc engine has electronic ignition with a primer for fast dependable starts. other features include convenient on/off switch, telescoping extension tube and trigger style throttle control.
Beats the hell out of the Homelite I used for over 10 years. Cost more, but WELL WORTH IT! 😛

Edit: Oops, almost forgot my Milwaukee 1/2" Magnum Hole Shooter! Been wanting one of those for 20 years and I finally got one a few months ago! 😀

Big home theater setup.

Big computer setup with 3 monitors / wireless setup with laptop.

Big car stereo setup. Big new car.

Big DJ setup in my bedroom with 2 turntables and crates of vinyl

PDA, Cell Phone, Portable CD player, Family Radios, Digital camera

new bike, new golf clubs

Big DVD /CD collection.

cost: priceless 😛

Nice to meet you 🙂
Feels good to know I'm not the only one to get called "spoile brat!" by everyone.

My modest collection of computer "stuff"

iPaq 3650
Wacom drawing tablet
PS2 w/ 10 games
P4 1.4Ghz computer
Boston Acoustics BA4800 speakers (they kill some ass)
Apple G3 350Mhz lappy
Apple PowerMac 800Mhz, 700 ram (it's currently on a truck in route to my home)
3Com Audrey
Nikon CoolPix 950

PIII 600MHz Lappy (super duper cool!)
PDA (I use it all the time ... is allmost like a sec... first brain to me)

Didn't you know? The one with the best toys wins?

My goodies:

Homebuilt PC: Athlon XP 1800+ w/Asus A7V266E and CoolerMaster case, GeForce 3, etc. blah blah..
Sony WEGA XBR400 w/Yamaha/Klipsch home theater setup
Sony videocamera (from 1993, non-digital, but still nice 🙂)
Minolta DiMage s304 digital camera (yep, it takes video, too)
2000 GrandAm GT RamAir
2001 Dodge Durango SLT+ (yep, it's got that automatic anti-glare rearview mirror thingie, too)
Tivo 😀 (60 hour)

And lots of little stuff... (printer, portable cd-burner, ATT digital cable, NAT router, sDSL connection, etc.) I'd have more, but I gave my iMac to my mom, and I'm giving my old backup PC to my brother..

My coolest gizmo is also one of the largest in my house. It's my Maytag Accellis 2X range. Cooks in half the time as traditional ranges (a large size turkey will cook in about 1.5 hours, compared to 2.5/3 normally), has Ceran cooktop and digital controls. I like it so much that I had it specifically excluded in the sale of my house (for those who don't know, ranges are traditionally included in the sale of a house, they are considered attached).

$12 Westclox digital alarm clock with TWO alarms.

Analog answering machine with Endless loop cassette tape.

Maglite Keychain

Top-loading Zenith VCR

cool stuff I have:

Ericsson T68 (256 colour, bluetooth, gprs, tri band phone, small and light and battery lasts for hrs.)
Sony MZ E900 MiniDisc Player. Very small and light, cool remote, 80hrs playback.
Oakely A frames with prescripted Ice Irdium Lenses with works and all coatings known to man!
Giorgio Armani half frame less glasses😀
Sony VaioR600HEK😀

They are the things that I have that I'd say is cool😀
