That's just, like, your opinion, man.

Wonder if they are going to go full-on "small world syndrome" and make Jesus responsible for stealing The Dude's car and somehow getting that kid's homework in there.

Sounds like he was in for something other than what Walter suggested.

Eight year olds, dude. Eight year olds.
They changed the story a bit from what i've heard

Prozac Nation - 3/10. I loved the book but the movie just missed the entire point, and glossed over a lot of important aspects of it.

Slacker - 8/10. No real plot but it was very entertaining to watch. Certainly not for everyone, but if you like stuff like this you'll love it, if that makes sense...

Really? Dont waste your time. A female John Wyck doing impossible things in an improbable story.
Good cast and locations couldnt save it for me.

Mike looking way too old to be in Better Call Saul anymore. How he can intimidate anyone in this show is laughable at this point.

Midway, the recent theater version. Thought it told the story fairly well, but did not care for most of the lead actors. The acting managed to be both wooden and overacted at the same time. Interesting insight into how important the code breakers were though; I was not aware of that aspect of the victory. 7/10

Judy. Story about Judy Garland during the London tour 6 months previous to her death. Feel bad story of 1Q for me, I was already a little versed in her upbringing and various horror stories about her studio life. Something like 5 husbands, 3 children, and at least 10 DRUGS later she is a bit of a mess but can apparently still crank out a solid show when motivated. I mostly enjoyed the movie but got a little distracted by Zellweger's performance at times. Maybe Judy was like this but the character was physically flip flopping all over the place which again may be accurate but it just felt weird and awkward for me, like she was missing half her vertebrae. My eyes were pulled to weird back arches and flopping arms instead of other probably more important details.

A very sad story regardless, immense talent taken advantage of and abused by all. The Whitney Houston trailer before hand primed you for it as well. I did like that they threw in an Oz set piece though. 7.5/10 for me.

Odd question does anyone watch movies on their smartphone?
Not me. I watch 95% of videos/movies on my TV thru the various smart TV apps on there, and then watch the remaining 5% or so on my desktop PC.

Well I watch the occasional YouTube video on my phone, a couple a week maybe, but never movies.

Parasite -- 7/10

Had a coupon for a $1.99 Google Play Movies rental so decided to try this one and see what all the fuss was about.

It started out good and I enjoyed it up until about the very end, when
the dad went into the basement after killing Mr. Park (which I thought was kinda weird in itself but I guess he just hated the guy for saying he stank? Lol).

Maybe it's a real deep meaning behind the end and I'm just too dumb to get it, which is def possible. I thought it was very well made and acted, I just didn't like the end at all.

Just watched Outbreak (1995) tonight (first viewing). Two strains of a super deadly virus. Hollywood, but I did watch it to the end. Parallels here, but covid-19 isn't 100% fatal!

Showgirls: 1/10 if you need something to laugh at then 3/10.

Fun Fact: Elizabeth Berkley is a real blonde.
I thought Showgirls was horrible. How you can have so many beautiful virtually naked girls and not be worth seeing is just stupefying. Saw it some years ago. Paul Verhoeven, who made Robocop!

I think I read that they wanted to do a 90's Andromeda Strain, but couldn't get the rights. So they flung together a generic epidemic script and shot it and since it turned out not terrible, released it in theaters.

Years later we got the Andromeda Strain mini-series with Christa Miller and Ricky Schroeder. It wasn't bad, but they added a lot of unneeded political nonsense to pad the running time.

Saw "Yesterday" on HBO last night. A real dog. Not even Lily James could save it. I loved her in Momma Mia and Baby Driver, but it was almost painful to watch her struggle through this inane movie. Improbable plot device to make the movie possible, then a rushed, sappy ending. Rate it 4/10. (I liked the Beatles', music, but was never really a fan. My wife however was a huge fan. Didnt matter, both of us hated the movie.)

Binge watched Game of Thrones this past week. Loved it. I thought season 8 wasn't that bad.

Jeoffry was pretty interesting I thought.
