Well not only do I sort of consider an LS a compact to begin with, but two feet is a large difference.Originally posted by: CheapArse

A THREE??? Wouldn't quite classify that as large.Originally posted by: CheapArse

This market is really as sparse as I thought! That's why I asked...
I'm determing size *mostly* by length. I consider my Sable to be large. It is technically a mid-size but it is a bigger mid-size (for example bigger than an Accord from the same year). It is 16 feet long. So that should give you an idea.
I always the figured the A4 was a compact, but I'm not quite sure of its dimensions. The 6 is definitely not big enough. An Altima may be, Maxima definitely.
Not looking for STi sporty, looking for Mazda6 sporty.
Also, I'm not buying a car, I just realized that if I were, THIS is the market I'd be in, but there really aren't that many options without spending a fortune.
go with the a4 avant or a3
only about 2 feet smaller than a Lincoln LS....
The LS is the same length as your sable....so you really don't know what you want obviously.
The A3 is 14, the A4 is 15. A4 definitely looks tiny, though.
What is the techincal difference between a compact and a mid-size?
You're probably thinking of the older A4s...those were very small. If you really want something large and sport go with a used S4 avant. Though you have to be carefull with used and audi....they don't mesh well.
Huge potential for a money pit
