Hey, there is nothing wrong with dumb terminals! I have an old IBM 5153 dumb terminal at work, and it's great for diagnosing servers with video problems.

Good luck finding a reasonably priced Itanium system, though!

1st gens can be had for a few hundred bucks. 2nd gens are still up there.
