I have the Leadtek 7350KDA ... I need to update the BIOS, that fixes some of the registry errors I was having earlier when I got the board.. Onboard NIC is great..

I also done the Shuttle AK31A route.... That is a great board.. Fast, and a great price.

I have a MSI KT266 PRO 2 currently... The Shuttle seems to have been more stable, in my opinion , and experiences so far..

Out of what you listed, get yourself the AK31A, like the previous post stated..

Pop in a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, and you are set!

ECS K7S5A might suit you as well - especially if you like onboard LAN and don't care about overclocking. People in general are happier with that than with the Leadtek.

For your needs, my vote goes to the Gigabyte GA-7VTXH. It's a very stable board with (as you said) integrated Creative sound and Realtek LAN. In addition, it has dual BIOS which is a nice safety feature. Last time I looked it was $105 at newegg!

Or if you can wait a while, I believe pretty soon we'll be seeing quite a few SiS745 boards. ;)

Well gee, I'll add my $.02 and make it even less of a consensus: I'd go with the 8K7A. It's rock solid and a steal for $77.

< The SIS 745 is for P4s. The SIS 735 is for AMDs >

No!

The sis645 is for the p4

The sis745 is for amd's but differs from sis735 as it offers pc2700ddr support and afew other advancements...

EPOX EP-8KHA+ Go for it. Rock-solid reliability, excellent overclocking if your heart desires. Built over 100 machines with it over ebay. It's a great board. Using it right now to type this in!

I just wanna inform u that the EpoX 8K7A is KT133a chipset and doesn't support DDR ram. Which motherboard you want really depends what you want in a motherboard. If you are generally looking for a good price/performance ratio without any overclocking, go with the Shuttle AK31a. If you want to overclock but don't want to spend much money, go for the EpoX 8KHA+. I wouldn't recommend getting a IWILL XP333 because it's performance isn't that great and the price of ram is through the roof. I'd strongly suggest against the LEADTEK board because you can get a faster board for cheaper (Shuttle AK31a) or better board for the same price (EpoX 8KHA+).

Ku, the 8K7A is NOT on the KT133A chipset. It's with the AMD 760/686B. It only uses DDR ram. I have the Iwill XP333-R, and I love it. Fast, stable, and good price. You don't need PC2700 ram for it to work either. Good sound and overclocks very well.

EpoX 8K7A is AMD-761 + VIA 686B AGPset chipset with DDR. Epox website

I'm looking to upgrade to a socket A DDR MB for ~$80 or less. Can't decide between ECS K7S5A, ECS K7VTA3, Epox 8K7A, Epox 8KHA or Shuttle AK31A. I have an Athlon XP 1600+ waiting for it. I don't plan to OC. Decisions, decisions...

NewEgg has both the Epox 8K7A and Shuttle AK31A refurbs for $59 shipped in case you want to take a chance with a refurb. Linky

The 8K7A is a very solid board and overclocks like a champ too. I don't know about the Shuttle, so I can't comment.

I'm running an Epox 8K7A now and I love it, I'd recommend that but for just a few more dollars you can get the 8KHA+, that'd be my choice!
