List of Dual DVI video cards

Hello ! Just joining this forum after a google search on "dual DVI" , great thread ! Where is the petition ?? 😉

I'm in the process of building a PC "home cinema", having the PC drive everything on an RPTV, but still having a 17 LCD next to the couch to mess around in parallel ... 🙂

So dual DVI is key for me (my Eizo l557 is really much better in DVI) and I'm quite suprised by the poor choice !!

Plus it will probably be on an intel 775 (if I don't take AMD route), so with the added PCIe constraint ...

Anyway, keep the thread going !

Look like this XFX 6600 GT is missing in the list :

PCIe and affordable, could be the one I'm looking for !!

Anybody has experience with it ?

I'm looking for a card to build an HTPC with an additional LCD next to the couch to web around ...

So the card should drive a DLP RPTV 1280x720 and an LCD 1280x1024 in a perfect easy way.

I'm not a gamer but as the HTPC will be used to play all DVDs and DIVx I'm looking for great color and video qualities.

Would this one be ok ? another one ?

By the way, it seems a bit stupid to buy a gamer card with a bunch of 3D techno that will almost never be used, are there some others more "video oriented" Dual DVI PCIe cards existing or coming ?

Just a quick note. My thread over at 2cpu.com is currently more up-to-date than the first post of this thread. Too bad there isn a vBulletin-to-FuseTalk post translator out there. 🙂

In the 2CPU.com thread, everything above the nVidia cards was recently checked. I have to do the same for all of the nVidia cards. I've already got bad links for the Gainward stuff.

Maybe when I get some free time!

Holy first-post update, Batman!

🙂

Of note, I now specify the number of dual-link DVI ports. Those will come in handy for those nifty 30" Applie Cinema displays.

SUOrangeman,

Is there some sort of ranking or list of which dual dvi cards are better than others? I can't tell which one I would want to have or which are better across manufacturers.

Thanks.

(Yawn)

Any new dual-DVI cards out there?

I know some of my original links have been moved. the 2CPU.com thread my be a little more up-to-date.

I have a dual 5200 in a Dell Optiplex GX270, here's what dell calls it:

1 G0170 CARD (CIRCUIT), GRAPHICS, 128MB, NV34, FULL HEIGHT, OPPLX

I didn't see it on you're list, it has a proprietary connector that has a dongle out with dual dvi, also came with a dual vga dongle too, but I use it with two FP1703s with the DVI.

Fry's has a "Dual DUI" video card for sale in the latest flyer locally. It's not the first time I've seen it either. Should we start a new thread? 😉
