List of AX-7 Compatible Motherboards

Currently I'm looking for an Athlon XP Mobo. KT266A or even KT333 that will work with an AX-7.

I just bought an IWill XP-333R and am wondering the same thing.

I know that the Alpha PAL8045 has a listing of MBoards it works for. I was trying to use that as an approximation for what the AX7 might or might not fit. The link to that site is below...

However the XP-333R is too new to be on the list. It appears it would be a close fit.

If anyone has tried the IWILL XP333R let me know. If someone who has an AX7 can give the dimensions that would be good to. Is it exactly 80mm or is it 78, 82 etc.

If ya head over to the forums at http://www.amdmb.com and search for ax-7, you can find alot of people mentioning which mobos they fit it on... Thats how i found out if fit on my A7A266 🙂
 
Dimensions at base: 77 (L) x 77 (W) 42 (H) mm
Dimensions at top: 80 (L) x 80 (W) x 38 (H) mm

Not counting a fan of course.

I doubt there'll be many mobo's the ax-7 will not fit. However it may be a hassle getting the back clip attached on some where the resistors are too close and because the back clip can be a pain to get on. Especially if you have large fingers.

I replaced a FOP38 and got another 200Mhz overclock out of my CPU with the AX-7 and a Sunon fan. The fan is a heck of a lot quieter than the Global Win banshee I had before.
 
I got my system together and I am happy to report that the AX-7 does fit nicely on the Iwill XP333-R. It took a little bit more force that I expected to set the clip but that nice 3 prong clip holds it on there quite well.

Soltek SL-75drv2 is OK. there is a transistor that is right in the way and it looked like it wasn't going to work....but get this. the edges of the AX-7 kind of curve up so it the transistor actually goes under the thing. it's close but it DOES work.

GREAT!! .. I`ve ordered an AX-7 to replace my FOP38 (I even turned it into a FOP32 last week because the Delta was driving me nuts) and have two fans, a Panaflo FBA08A12H (39CFM?) and a YS-Tech 1257B-2A (supposedly 45CFM though the output on the bench doesn`t seem any more than the Panaflo) to try with similar noise levels though the Pan seems quieter on the bench..

Anyone know which of these fans suits the AX-7 better?.. The Panaflo had a plug-lead with only two wires connected and I replaced it for one with a third hoping the RPM sensor will work, has anyone tried this?

Epox 8kha+ here. I had to bend a row of capacitors over a tiny bit to keep them from touching the hsf. Other than that it works great. Dropped the temps about 6deg C even in this 90deg heatwave.
