Which version are you recommending? I notice that people don't often say, which makes me wonder if one version is more highly regarded. I'd think it is the henry fonda one but I'm not sure.

Definitely the original with Henry Fonda. The made-for-tv-movie remake of it isn't all that bad, but the original has some of the best acting I've ever seen.
