What problem does Coppermine have in handling URL's?

Well, maybe I should have said "creating URLs".

It appends new images to the front of a list, so that any time a picture is uploaded, the URL for every image in the "newest additions" gallery changes.

i.e., each new image gets the number "0", and all the numbers for the older iamges get incremented.

it should give each new image a higher number, so that the old images keep thier numbers.

The "problem" notfred encountered is that the URLs of the pictures that are uploaded do not stay static. Every time a new picture is uploaded, each existing picture gets a new, incremented URL.

That's why the pic in your original link keeps changing, because the link takes you to the most recent picture uploaded, not a specific image.

Edit: too slow

Damn well thanks for catching that guys.

Can you provide me with the correct URL (if there is one) for lirion's pic?

this will work: http://www.neffing.com/pics/albums/userpics/chicken.JPG

I think someone should let the people at coppermine know about that bug. It could be particularly painful if, say, you uploaded a pic of your 3 year old daughter, sent the link to her grandparents with the text "Look at dady's little girl", and before they read it, someone uploaded some porn pic.

Or, you could try and fix it yourself. :)
