I'm looking for components to liquid cool my 8800GT. Everything needs to be able to fit in the SG03 though. I'm only using one hard drive so I have one of the hard drive locations open for whatever components I would need. I will be using a Koolance VID-278 water block for the 8800GT.

Anyone have any ideas, recommendations, tips? Thanks.

This is how I have mine setup. The rear hard drive bay is unused:

there arent many blocks that will take the 8800GT right now. The card is relatively new, and the mounting holes are based off the old 7900's. The problem you'll run into is cooling the other components on the card, like mosfets an vregs.

Also koolance aint so great. You might be better off getting an HR-03 instead

The Koolance VID-278 full cover block is made for the 8800GT. Gets good reviews and recommendations at other forums too (Extreme Overclocking forums, SilentPC Review, etc.).

Ok, so far this is what I'm looking at:

Water block: Koolance VID-278 water block (or some other full coverage block for my 8800GT)

Radiator: ThermoChill PA120.1 (or if one exists, a smaller 120.1 rad.)

Pump: ?

Reservoir:
two T-Lines (so I'd have a drain port)

OR

Swiftech T-Line w/ Quick Drain Valve
http://www.performance-pcs.com...6_341&products_id=3723

OR

Swiftech MCRES-MICRO reservoir
http://www.performance-pcs.com...h=318&products_id=3615

OR

the Swiftech MCRES-MICRO + a T-Line

I've never liquid cooled anything before so can someone please list and link to each part I'd need to complete this GPU only liquid cooling setup? Thanks again.

*sigh*...

Here is why i told you that the koolance block suck hardcore.

Construction Materials: High density copper, 24k Gold Plating, Anodized Aluminum, Steel

Now i dont care how well its annodized unless its PLATED ONTOP. Annodized layers over time peal off. Then you got yourself into nightmares with corrosion because your mixing loops.

Koolance ignores people's requests to get rid of alu, so i dont respect a company that doesnt listen to its buyers. They get there market from people who dont know about watercooling, and who buys it for image more then performance.

Also not too long ago, koolance blatantly lied to its public saying its radiators were better then HWLabs, Thermochill, Swiftech. They went as far a saying ALU is better to cool instead of copper. They obviously didnt learn thermodynamics in college.

And if you thinking or is goign to say... No koolance wont corrode and there the best!

Why do they offer products like this?

Keep the entire loop copper and you WONT have to worry about stupid things like pressure valves incase of corrosion. Its that simple.

Stick with an HR-03 or wait for a GREAT block to come from EK. OR you can use the MCW60 and mod some ram sinks on the Vregs and PLLs.

Ok geeze. I guess you didn't see the part where I said that I've never liquid cooled anything before AND the note in my post that says, "(or some other full coverage block for my 8800GT)". Ok so aside from the waterblock, what else would I need for this GPU only liquid cooling setup? Can I really have two t-lines instead of a reservoir?

i didnt mean any offense. Its just when people come to this forum with koolance or Thermaltake water products, im a bit defensive.

These products are absolute crap, and should be avoided with prejudice.

Now according to your design you running a shogo. I had a working theory for that setup which involves a front mounted MCR220 with a Pump attached to it though a DangerDen coupler.

The only problem now is waiting for your block. Unless you truely want to go MCW60.

And you dont need 2 tlines, you can get away with just 1 if you use 7/16ID tubing. The two allows for faster drain, and bleed times. The reservior might be a better route all together if your new to water tho.

The MCRes from swiftech is very cheap at around 17 dollars @ jab-tech.

Yeah, I'll be mounting the 120.1 rad. in place of the top 120mm fan in the front of the SG03. I might be able to squeeze the Swiftech MCRes above the PSU and the pump would go in the empty spot where the second hard drive would go. So that's basically all I'd need right?

water block
Switech micro res.
a 120.1 rad.
a small-ish pump
barbs and tubing

Someone mentioned that I should get barbs that can rotate and that would make things easier in the SG03 since it's a smaller case. Also, if I go with the micro res., would having a t-line make draining easier?

only if the t line was at the lowest part in your loop.

I was thinkn more of a front mount MCR220. A Larger class radiator, then you can probably squeeze the CPU inside as well.

I would go with 3/8 tubing for sure on this setup because of the space restraints. Also 3/8th tubing will only give you within .2-1C greater difference in temps. For the space requirements, its definitely worth it.

For the pump, if your just looking for a gpu only loop, the D-tek DB-1 isnt that bad from what im hearing about it. Its fairly cheap at 45 dollars as well.
