Lions are feed live donkeys at a zoo In Bagdad

People regularly feed live mice to their snakes...not too much difference there.

While it is hard to watch and you could argue the fact that they are not given a fair chance as they are in the wild...they likely would have been chopped up and fed to the lions anyway...so only slightly less painful death.

don't know and don't care. the lion needs to eat. having it "hunt" is a good idea. i really see no problem with it.

Umm, good. Don't they eat live animals in the wild?

At least in the zoo, the prey has a fighting chance. Well not a fighting chance, but a running chance.

And as a child, seeing a donkey would have been just as interesting for me to see as a lion. I'm not sure why a zoo would be killing one at the expense of another. I guess donkeys are much more common over there.

suggestion- don't ever take the donkey tour down the cliff walls of the Grand Canyon. They might read ATOT you know..

If this were the Detroit Zoo, the donkeys would beat the snot out of the Lions and then be the ones hosting the BBQ. 🙂
