Lion Woes

My biggest gripe with Lion is that it breaks Coolbook, and on top of that, it uses the GPU significantly more because now there are more animations, more gestures, and more eye candies.

And neither Mission Control nor Expose show minimized apps anymore.

This. I hate trying to find minimized windows. What's even worse is when I can't find one, then reopen it, I find the lost window on another screen.

Aggravating.

Finally caved and downgraded my MacBook Air back to Snow Leopard. It's a major difference in terms of performance and battery life.

SL reports 6:30 at 66%, Lion reports 3:15 at 70%. That's just crazy. It felt like something was always running in the background in Lion.

I've noticed less battery life from Lion too, but I won't be 100% sure until I test it this weekend. I can usually get 6-7 hours out of my MBP with medium weekend use.

Are we going to get something like CoolBook for the new i5 MacBooks or is it just not possible with the new CPU architecture? Asking cause I don't know, but I also notice slightly less battery life with my new i5 MBP compared to my older Core2Duo MBP.

And yes, minimized apps/windows not showing in Expose is very annoying, but I think it has to be a bug because if I minimize something and then enable Expose, it will show up. But after a few seconds if you try it again the minimized item will no longer show up.

Also, is there any way to bring "double tap to move" in Lion? I had my older MBP setup that way. You double tab any window then you can drag and move it around. The only options I see in Lion are the three finger move, and the traditional click and drag.
