Linux--what should i use?

I would like to start to learn how to use linux, but i have no idea really where to start. I've used a little bit of red hat at schoo, but not enough to justify any kind of Comprehension.

Go ahead and install redhat. It's as good as anything out there.

If you go to redhat's website you can find very good docs about how to install it. Then once you get comfortable you can use a good package manager like apt or yum to upgrade to fedora when your ready.

Or you can go ahead and install fedora, it's about 90-95% the same, just with newer versions of the apps.

It doesnt really matter. RH probably has the most no. of users (?) and documentation. You might want to start with it for this very reason. So did I. I have moved to Debian over the years, once I got comfortable with it.
