Looking for some linux mandrake gurus
Got a Trendnet KVM switch which said it could work with linux boxes and wireless devices
connected my ms wireless mouse/keyboard to it
connected switch to 2 boxes, one running mandrake 9.1, the other windows xp
the winxp box works flawlessly but the mandrake box refuses to recognize the mouse
the mouse is a usb mouse attached to the switch using usb/ps2 connector
the switch connects via ps2 for both mouse and keyboard

is there some setting/config file that i am missing here?

Your problem is that mandrake expects the mouse to be on the usb, and now it's on ps/2. There is probably a mandrake specific tool for configuring the mouse, or you can edit XF86Config manually. Ask in the OS forum.

I know redhat can handle switching from a ps2 to usb mouse automatically, but I don't know if it or any other distribution can go from a usb to ps2 mouse automatically.
