Is there something equivalent to cygwin for os x? Or a way of running a normally native PPC distro? I don't think you can resize an os x partition, so I'd rather not run it directly. BTW: as a side thing, i'm wanting to run this so that I'm more easily able to get bugzilla up and running. I'm having problems with the perl module needed to interact with mysql. I get an error about the client not supporting the authetication protocl requested by the server, which when I looked into basically pointed the finger at the perl module.

Thanks very much

Hmm, i've heard that bugzilla runs well on osX. Because osX is unix there isn't a cygwin type thing for it. Its already got the ablity to run a ton of linux librarys with little or no modification. Sorry I can't be much more help. I would sort out your problems with bugzilla to keep using osX or if you want to use linux download a PPC version of linux. Most distro's have PPC versions now. Debian, Ubuntu, gentoo, etc.

I know there's MacOnLinux to do the opposite, but not sure about Linux inside OS X.

Yeah, I expected this too, I'm not really sure what is going on with mysql.... it's quite weird. i should ask in the software forum about that, but anyways do those distros allow for easy use WITHIN os x? I know i can run them independently or in a dual boot config, but I really don't want to do that.

As I mentioned, I don't know of any way to run Linux inside of OS X. I guess you could buy a copy of VirtualPC, but that seems like a lot of money to spend just to run BugZilla.

Yeah, I don't think i'll be able to do that, thanks for the suggestion though. I posted in the software forum about the software issues. Thanks a lot.
