Linux still show up on Windows Boot Manager?

The Linux partition is gone, and it no longer shows Linux under System Configuration (msconfig) > Boot; only Windows 7. Yet at start up, it still goes to the Windows Boot Manager, and it still shows Linux Mint 11 as a selection. Anyway to remove this, or perhaps just stop going to the Windows Boot Manager?

edit: I did delete the partition before removing it from Boot in Msconfig. I'm pretty sure I've corrupted something :( Do I need to use something like MbrFix then try to remove it again?

You'll need to rebuild the MBR, here's a link with the step by step:

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. I've had to do it before.

Ty for reply

Edit: I don't think I clarified, I'm trying to remove Linux Mint and the selection from the MBR. After I rebuild it, I should be able to go through the normal msconfig > boot to remove it without having this problem again shouldn't I?

I'm not sure how to go about this, the steps I'm finding online go along with how I originally attempted to delete Linux Mint. Yet before, it remained at start up on my MBR.

To elaborate, I never had a problem getting into Windows 7. GRUB was never wrote over my MBR so "uninstalling" Linux never caused my any issues.

My current partitions:

101 MB Unallocated,

C: 465 GB NTFS (System, Boot, Page File, Active, Crash Dump, Primary Partition)

Mint was in a 40 GB partition which I've removed, Mint also doesn't show up in my boot record. It is only there when I start up and see the MBR choices. I haven't attempted to boot into Mint, I'd would think it wouldn't work as it's deleted, so I don't bother.

edit: I know it doesn't necessarily solve my problem, but is there perhaps a way to keep that MBR from popping up with OS choices at the start up? Maybe change the Timeout to 0 seconds under the Boot Config?

I tend to have better luck using EasyBCD to remove dead bootloader entries. Rebuilding the MBR doesn't work all the time.

Yep, it showed up with EasyBCD. Only a few clicks and it was fixed. Strange that it still took me to the Boot Manager at start up so I went back into EasyBCD and checked box to skip the WBM.

Thanks!

(I wonder why EBCD seen it and was able to remove it fine, yet msconfig/deleting partition/ and repairing MBR didn't.)
