Hey guys, im trying to hook up a wireless adapter to my computer that runs linux. Since im new to this I have no idea how to do this. Are there any websites that can help, or does anyone have good advice for this? thanks

I donno.

You need to tell people what distro your using and what peice of hardware.

If you can tell the chipset of the stuff (broadcom xxx vs intel xxx vs ralink xxx vs prism xxx ) rather then the brand name (d-link, microsoft, linksys, etc), or rather in addition to the make and model that will be very helpfull.

Otherwise if your running ubuntu there is documentation and howtos.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/
http://ubuntuguide.org/
http://ubuntuforums.org/

All those places will have specific information on various hardware devices. be sure to find the documentation that matches up with your version your running.
