linux partition deleted :Q

I reinstalled the same hdd (new cable). Still no go.

Put in the 98 boot disk got unsupported file type.

Hmmm... dasm thats the old linux disk.

It had crashed during the power outage.

Got the manufactors boot disk.

wrote zero's to the hdd, got could not complete.

Loaded the 98 boot disk created a new small partition *yeah finally sees part of the drive)

format c

load win xp

delete all partitions

quick format and win xp is installing WOOT :p

I wonder if that's the problem with my Mom's computer. I tried to install dual boot for her (she wanted to try Linux, but hasn't since), but the HDD would never boot anything but Linux. I somehow found the right files to copy to a floppy to start the boot process, and she's been booting Win2K off a floppy ever since.

lol you guys/gals are great.

It wouldn;/t even let me see the drive except in the bios. no warnings nothing lo

Could be Ken.

It wasn't till I started writing zero's tio the hard drive that it finally saw it in fdisk.

I might eat brains...might...never have yet;) but might...But I'll never eat rocky mountain oysters...No matter what...EW lol

I ate goat brains once. Nasty. No Rocky Moountain Oysters for me either. Unless they were paying me alot of money.
