Linux on non-bootable scsi

I have a scsi hard-drive on a non-bootable scsi card. I can install linux to the drive with the cd-rom, but cannot load it. Does anyone know how I can get my computer to boot from this harddrive?
 
If it's non-bootable it's non-bootable, Linux can do no magic about that. You can boot the kernel from the floppy though.
 
how can i make a floppy to boot the kernel? can i download one? I can't load linux to make one, though I wouldn't even know how if I could load it. Complete newb when it comes to Linux (if you couldn't already tell).
 
Its an Advansys ABP-915. I finally figured it out. Mandrake skips the "boot disk"process when it installs, but you can go back and make one when it is finished installing (before you reboot the computer). I reinstalled, made a couple of boot disks and now don't have any problems with it.
 
The other thing you can do is create a partition on your bootable hard drive (about 16-24MB in size) that will hold the "/boot" partition. That oought to get you past your problem without the need for botting from floppy
