where can i got to down load a debian iso so i can make a file server

what is the difference between there files

The architecture. Chances are you have an i386 based machine. Download that one. You'd probably know if you had a better arch.

Get the netinstall CD, IIRC it's ~100M and just contains enough to start the installer and once you pick the packages you want it'll download and install them for you.
