Linux Mandrake 8.1 CDROM Problems

Hi

I am running Linux Mandrake 8.1, I can't seem to get my CDROM to work . Under Harddrake ( hardware devices) in CDROM there is two of the same CDROM devices listed here. How do I remove the other listing ?

What does your /proc/ide/ say?

I still don't know my way around LINUX, I found the proc/ide folder. Which folder am I looking for ? There is hda, hdc, ide0, ide1, drivers, piix, What folder do I go in for this info?

The problem that I am having is that there is two of the same CDROM under CDROM in Harddrake one unknow & the other is config ok.
