Suppose you come across the time when you need to use your credit card over the internet to do something like pay for something or buy something, its usually though of as kind of risky. Especially in Windows with all tehse spyware and all that running around. I was just thinking, would it not make sense to load up a live cd linux os, such as knoppix which cannot touch the HD and the HD does not ouch it (or does it?), and then proceed with the credit card transaction in the built in mozilla browser? Would that be a good idea or is something wrong with it?

I agree that it is a good idea, as long as you trust the source of your live cd :)
